Priority #1

Fulfill the vision of the grove city hub

Ten years ago, the hub was established in Grove City, PA as a prayer and missions base to serve the region and spiritual family throughout the nation. Since then, our focus has been to create and steward a spiritual home where people find rest, experience healing and are trained to follow Jesus and spread the good news of His love. As we launch The Cultivate Collective, we are prioritizing the health and strength of this hub so it can serve and support God’s purposes here and those who are being sent out, as we continue to disciple, equip and release sons and daughters of the King to impact every sphere of society for the glory of God.

The Hub will serve as the host of The Cultivate Collective to provide a tangible example of what a prayer and mission community can look like. We are focused on stewarding four core commitments of the hub as we collaborate with partners to serve, equip and provide helpful resources to see everyday followers of Jesus cultivate a prayer and mission lifestyle throughout our region and across the nation.

Core Priorities

The story of the church at Antioch has been a helpful picture of what a healthy sending community looks like. From that story recorded in Acts 11 and 13, we have found four core priorities that we hold to in stewarding the vision of the hub.

Minister to the Lord

As we spend time focusing our lives and affections on the Lord through individual and collective times of prayer and worship, we acknowledge His worthiness, grow deeper in connection with Him and give our attention to the things on His heart.

What it Looks Like:

We are committed to cultivating a lifestyle of communion, prayer and ministry to the Lord. We believe that this happens as we give ourselves to Him both individually and collectively.

Currently there are:

  • Four Weekly Prayer Rhthms
  • Monthly Regional Prayer Worship Gathering
  • Quarterly Prayer Weekends / Weeks

MOVING FORWARD, we plan to:
  • Facilitate Regular House Worship Nights

Live on Mission Together

As we become more aware of the gospel working in our own lives, we look for opportunities to live in a way that proclaims and demonstrates the good news of Jesus, as He leads us to the hungry, hurting and lonely around us.

What it Looks Like:

We are committed to cultivating a lifestyle of mission as a normal part of following after Jesus. We believe that actively witnessing the gospel working in our own lives and in the lives of those around us is essential for spiritual formation.

Currently we are:

  • Prayer walking in our community and on several area campuses.
  •  Actively praying and building relationships with persons of peace to engage  (Luke 10)
  • Working with several area pastors to engage Grove City with a collective prayer and mission strategy.

MOVING FORWARD, we plan to:
  • Create regular opportunities to model & equip people in a missional  lifestyle.

Grow As Spiritual Family

As we follow Jesus and give ourselves to loving one another deeply, we learn how to walk together in a way that honors the Lord and each other, cultivating personal wholeness and modeling healthy spiritual family to the world around us.

What it Looks Like:

We are committed to grow in relationship with other followers of Jesus as a part of a prayer and mission lifestyle. We believe that our obedience to the commandments of Jesus to lone one another the way the He loves us is impossible by our own strength, but essential to living in a way that the world can recognizes us as His followers.

Currently we are:

  • Focusing on the spiritual health and strength of the four simple churches connected to AOX.
  • Cultivating relationships with other local churches and house churches to grow in John 17 unity.

MOVING FORWARD, we plan to:
  • Host and serve round tables for Grove City pastors and leaders to grow in relational connection with each other and among their church communities.

Release Sent Ones

As we learn how to minister to the Lord together, grow in deep love for one another, and live out the gospel, we believe that God will continue to call us to go from our communities to the ends of the earth to represent Him and express hope.

What it Looks Like:

We are committed point people to a lifestyle of “living sent” as they follow after Jesus. (John 20:21) We believe that as embrace this lifestyle in our own community, that some will be led by the Holy Spirit to move intentionally to other places across the US and around the world.

Currently we are:

  • Have a weekly prayer rhythm focused on interceding for those who have already been sent out, and those who are praying about their next steps.
  • Engaging in follow up calls and visits to encourage and support those who have been sent.

MOVING FORWARD, we plan to:
  • Increase frequency of visits and improve communication infrastructure for those who want to stay connected to the Grove City Hub.

Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away. So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit…
